The SD series drive only requires a single D. C. voltage supply for
operation. It can deliver up to 3A(amps) peak current at output stage.
The current is set with only a single external resistor. There are fourteen
(14) different step resolutions and five (5) harmonic waveform
selections which are accessible from user selectable DIP switch.
The SD series drive has step, direction, remote disable inputs along
with a fault output which makes this drive easy to interface with a
control circuit. The SD series drive implements phase to phase and
phase to ground short circuit protection to protect the drive against fault
operations.
The drive's easy and flexible interface with small dimensions make it an
ideal candidate for OEM cost and space conscious applications.

The SD series stepping drive is a bipolar micro stepping drive with a
pulse width modulated (PWM) output stage switching at 20KHz. The
drive uses advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology and H
bridge power devices to achieve low cost while maintaining high
reliability in a compact package. The SD series drive utilizes three
different techniques (charging, discharging and circulating) to regulate
the current in the motor windings. This  minimizes ripple current and
motor heat compared to other PWM techniques.
